The frogs. Perfect symbol of transformation. May they one day rain on us as they did in the movie Magnolia. The reflecting pool is such a poignant metaphor. It’s been rumbling around in my brain for a while too.

I was thinking of that movie too.

A reflecting pool, for the most unreflective person on the planet.

Of course, there’s Narcissus.

Thank you, Eileen. I always learn from your writing. ❤️

I don't want us to be overtaken by frogs or locusts, but there's a strong chance we deserve it. Some of us more than others, of course. :)

Coincidentally, my post this week was inspired by a toad. For me it was a lovely opportunity to not think about things like reflecting pools. No, it's not just you.

Love the dry humor and imagining frogs running amok in D.C.

When two women post photos of fornicating frogs in the same week, what else might they have in common? I agree that humanity may be deserving of whatever an angry Goddess sends us.

We also have NC in common, and possible connections with angry Goddesses. So, I'd say we'll get on famously!

You have only to visit some modern day site and seen the crumbling remnants of some arrogant former civilization to know how this all ends. We are all just bags of water and chemicals sloshing around.

Hi Eileen, these photos are incredible. Frogs hold a special place for reflection in my body memory—always a deep pool of .... wonder.

Great images, Eileen, and some wonderful humour. Amphibian anarchy!
